It was an honor to visit with Dr. Ian Crozier, World Health Organization Adviser to Clinical Care for Ebola Survivors, and to talk about eye care for Ebola Survivors this past week in Monrovia, Liberia. His “Eye witness”, unique story (include link here) is one of triumph and reminds us all that the world is a much bigger place than we imagine. New outbreaks in neighboring Guinea remind us that we cannot let our guard down. Our “heroes” don’t always wear Superman outfits but their stories are worth sharing with our nephews, nieces and children. Please take a few moments to read about Dr. Crozier. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/05/08/health/weeks-after-his-recovery-ebola-lurked-in-a-doctors-eye.html?referer=&_r=0 We are active in Liberia fund raising for the local orphanage, funding for cataract surgery for the Ebola survivors and their contacts, and equipment to make glasses locally.
